Christian Leadership Institute, Lamplighter Conferences

Christian Leadership Institute

The first Christian Leadership Institute (CLI) will be conducted at Blue Mountain College on Monday thru Friday, July 9-13, 2018. This Institute will equip and encourage high school young men to consider and pursue a life of public service.

Guest speakers and activities will be conducted that will strengthen a Biblical World View in the philosophy and thinking of these young men. Registration will begin at 1:00 Monday afternoon and checkout will be after lunch on Friday.

We are asking that each local association nominate a high school age young man for this Institute and provide or seek out a scholarship of $250 for room, board, and activities during the CLI. There would be a few extra slots for associations with multiple counties on a first come, first serve basis.

We are asking our Associational Missions Directors to prayerfully consider this opportunity to light a candle and not just curse the darkness. We obviously will need your help to make this discipleship activity a success. What if a future governor or senator or representative were a graduate of our Christian Leadership Institute?

We, at the Christian Action Commission, would appreciate your comments and commitment to this Kingdom Work. There will be 70 slots—how wonderful, if we could get your commitment of one or more participants as we move forward. A second CLI is in the planning for high school young ladies.

We request that you join us in this endeavor. II Timothy 2:2 says, “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.” (KJV) What an opportunity to offer a difference in a young man’s life—or better yet, to offer a difference in our state.

Lamplighter Conferences

The Christian Action Commission is offering Lamplighter Conferences at churches across our state. There will be four to six sessions on social and moral issues pertinent in our culture. We can offer your church or association a customized conference that addresses the issues you need. Give us a call.

We are planning CAC Banquets in each of the five Areas of the state. We are searching for a CAC Coordinator in each Area who will search for a CAC Coordinator in each Association (of course, with the blessing and advice of the AMDs.) The AMD and CAC Coordinator (and spouses) from each Association in the Area would be invited to the CAC Banquet. This would give us a line of communication and prayer chain throughout the state.
